God is Good Wednesday!

God was so faithful to answer my prayers--the team was so effective on Tuesday and arrived home safely!

Today, John Paul taught the story of the Samaritan woman at the well, and the reference to living water. He did a great job making easier to understand for the children but still teaching truth! We had several children that wanted to bring team members home with them (especially Hamille! ;) but these desires did not bear fruit today. PTL we had about 100 children in attendance!!!!

Our team went to the beach with the director of the cultural center and his family, and some of the team and the Armenians spoke with him regarding spiritual matters. Unfortunately, he does not have a heart for the Lord, but a flesh that wants to look good by doing "spiritual things" by reading the Bible and praying for his children. He would see the lies in his ways if he was truly seeking God's truth. Please pray for him and his family!!!

God allowed my body enough normal functioning to join the team, and I was very glad to! I expect to join them again on Thursday, hopefully with some home visits, but we have a new strategy that will hopefully gain more ground. My teaching experience will hopefully bring about more solid information that we can use to visit homes on Friday, Monday, and Tuesday, and to make the families aware of the "service" that we anticipate having on Sunday evening. God has not revealed what this will look like yet, although we have some ideas. Please pray that our team will continue to be flexible, soft-hearted, and full of faith and trust in the Lord!

I will try to remember to bring the photo equipment again next time, but no promises! We had some new visitors come to stay at the seminary, although I am not at liberty to tell you where they are from, as you can guess the sensitivity of their presence here at a Christian institute. Some of them spoke English!!! Praise the Lord! We also have a construction team from North Carolina here until tomorrow. It has been an adjustment sharing the bathroom space, but God is good!

Thank you so much for your prayers! Please pray for me as I anticipate being homesick soon--for my daughter, for my "luxurious" bathroom, and for American food!!! Mac and cheese is what is on my mind today... :) ...especially since I am still supposed to be on the bread and rice and water diet. :P Oh well! God is holy and I trust Him to strengthen me and my body!!!

Also, please pray for Brooks as he will be teaching the VBS lesson on Christ's death and resurrection on Friday. Please pray for his preparation and that he would be fully led by the Holy Spirit to preach truth and light and understanding with clarity.

Oh Susie- you're so funny craving mac and cheese. I'll try to have some waiting in your fridge when you get back. ;) Mac says "Meow", and I miss you too.

Linda :)
